Kristen Van Iderstine is in her first year on the The Farm in 2024 after spending two seasons working with the football staff at Brown. She began as the Football Financial Coordinator in 2022 before transitioning to the role of Director of Football Administration in 2023 while at Brown.
Van Iderstine came to Providence after several years of experience both inside and outside the sports industry, including as the Communications & Football Operations Manager with the Arena Football League’s Philadelphia Soul. She also has NFL experience working with both the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Commanders.
While working for the Soul from 2015-2018, Van Iderstine managed the team’s website and social media accounts, secured sponsorships, managed the team’s media relations, press box and media requests, coordinated team travel, filmed team practices and led community outreach initiatives. Additionally, she managed payroll and player contracts, along with athletic training and equipment needs.
Van Iderstine has been recognized by South Jersey Business on its 40 Under 40 List, and has attended the NFL Women’s Careers in Football Forum in 2018.
A former Division I student-athlete, Van Iderstine was a member of the rowing team and served as women’s basketball team manager at George Washington University from 2011-13, before continuing her career at the University of Delaware. She graduated from Delaware in 2015 with a bachelor’s in health science. She also holds a Personal Training Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a Certificate-Sports Industry Essentials from Columbia University.
She earned her master’s in sports administration from the University of Miami in 2022 and completed her master's in legal studies with a concentration in sports law at Arizona State in 2024.
