Doug Jolley

Doug Jolley joined the Stanford staff as an offensive graduate assistant in 2015 while earning his master's degree in economics. He serves as a volunteer offensive assistant in 2016, his second season on The Farm.

A graduate of BYU in 2002 and a first team All-Mountain West tight end as a senior, Jolley was drafted in the second round by the Oakland Raiders. He went on to spend three years in Oakland (2002-04), one with the New York Jets (2005) and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2006).

Jolley totaled 120 regular-season catches for 1,303 yards and six touchdowns and 11 playoff catches for 93 yards and a touchdown in the NFL. He made five receptions for 59 yards for the Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII.

Before attending Stanford, Jolley taught middle school math at Sunset Ridge Middle School in West Jordan, Utah, and American Leadership Academy in Queen Creek, Arizona.

His father, Gordon, played seven years in the NFL for Detroit (1971-75) and Seattle (1976-77), before coaching football and baseball at Dixie Junior College. He is a member of the Utah Sports Hall of Fame.

Jolley and his wife, the former Mary Beesley, reside in Palo Alto and have four children -- Luke, Rachel, Henry and Hazel.
