Mike Eubanks is in his 16th season with the Cardinal in 2022 and his eighth as associate athletics director and director of recruiting and football relations. Eubanks previously served as Stanford's assistant athletics director and director of football administration from 2007-14.
In his current role, Eubanks serves as the Cardinal's recruiting coordinator. He directs the strategic planning and execution of recruiting activities, messages, materials and visits. He is also responsible for guiding prospective student-athletes and their families through the Stanford admission application process. Eubanks has played an instrumental role in the Cardinal's recent top-20 signing classes, including the 2012 class ranked fifth in the nation, 2014 class ranked ninth, 2016 class ranked eighth, 2017 class ranked 11th, 2018 class ranked 20th and 2022 class ranked 11th.
To leverage the brand and assets of Stanford football, Eubanks functions as the program's primary collaborator with the marketing, media relations, creative video and Season Ticket Membership groups of Stanford Athletics. Eubanks served an interim role directing football media relations for the Cardinal's 2012 season. After operating and growing the Stanford football social accounts from 2010-18, Eubanks has continued his active role as a member of the department’s Football Digital group.
Eubanks engages faculty and staff throughout the seven schools of Stanford University to foster relationships with the football program and its student-athletes. He also collaborates with the other 35 Stanford Athletics sport programs in recruiting events, strategies and best practices.
During the 15-month COVID recruiting NCAA dead period in 2020-21, Eubanks pioneered Stanford’s innovative virtual recruiting visits, which have persisted as a valuable tool in the Cardinal’s arsenal. In 2021, Eubanks helped lead the change on campus for early enrollment at Stanford, ushering in a new era of mid-year enrollee recruiting. Since December 2020, he has been a member of the Stanford Athletics NIL working group.
Since its development in 2009, Eubanks has led the innovative honorary captain program, which connects the football team with distinguished alumni, former student-athletes and campus leaders on game weekends.
In 2012, Eubanks was nominated for the Amy J. Blue Award, which honors Stanford University staff members who are exceptionally dedicated, supportive of colleagues and passionate about their work.
Eubanks earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford, graduating in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry before earning his master’s in chemistry in 2000.
Prior to his return to The Farm, Eubanks worked in sports publishing and management consulting.
Eubanks and his wife, Carridine, reside in Emerald Hills with their daughters, Collette and Mairenn.
