STANFORD, Calif. - After recording both game-winning goals in a two-win week for Stanford, sophomore midfielder Trevor Islam was named ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
The conference accolade is the first of Islam's career, who is enjoying a breakout campaign with career highs in goals (4), points (8), shots (12), shots on goal (7), and game-winning goals (8). The Mill Valley, Calif., native's four goals also lead the team.
Stanford tallied a 3-1 victory over Saint Mary's last Tuesday, with Islam finding the back of the net in the 68th minute after dribbling past the Gaels' goalkeeper and converting on a wide-open net.
Islam continued his impressive week on Saturday, scoring the game-winner in the 86th minute to help the Cardinal cap off a comeback 3-2 victory over Syracuse.
It is Stanford's first weekly ACC award winner of the 2025 campaign, as Islam shares the honor with Virginia midfielder Luke Burns. Boston College's Andrej Borak and Virginia's Casper Mols were named ACC Co-Defensive Players of the Week.
Stanford heads down the road for a Bay Area battle against San Jose State on Wednesday, before welcoming Virginia Tech to The Farm for the Cardinal's first home conference match of the season on September 21.
