STANFORD, Calif. – Ryann Neushul was named MPSF Player of the Week for April 8 after leading No. 1 Stanford to a 14-12 victory over No. 4 UCLA over the weekend.
Neushul produced her sixth hat trick of the season as the Cardinal (17-1, 3-1 MPSF) collected its second win over the Bruins and remained undefeated at home. Neushul’s three goals came on eight shot attempts while also adding five assists.
Neushul, whose 42 goals this season is tied for the team lead, has now scored 210 career goals to rank eighth on the Cardinal’s all-time scoring list.
It was the second weekly honor this season (Jan. 21) and fifth overall for Neushul, who is a contender for the Peter J. Cutino Award while seeking her fourth NCAA team championship when the postseason gets underway next month.
Neushul will be honored postgame in Saturday’s Senior Day match against Indiana at 1 p.m., alongside Eleanor Facey, Alissa Pascual, Jewel Roemer and Sophia Sanders.
