  • Top-ranked Stanford women’s golf embarks on its first trip to the ACC Championship on April 16-19.
  • This year’s ACC Championship takes place at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. It is the 12th time this course has hosted the ACC Championship. The course plays as a par-72 at 6,092 yards.
  • The ACC Championship follows a similar format to the NCAA Championship. It will feature three rounds of stroke play and three rounds of match play. ACCNX will televise the semifinals and finals of match play.
  • Stanford is attempting to win the second ACC title for its athletics department. Women’s gymnastics claimed Stanford’s first ACC title on March 22.
  • Stanford won six stroke play tournaments during the regular season. The Stanford record for one season is seven, which came during the team’s 2022-23 national championship season.
  • The Cardinal is one of six teams in the ACC ranked inside the top-25 in the latest Scoreboard powered by Clippd rankings. The others are: No. 3 Florida State, No. 9 Wake Forest, No. 12 North Carolina, No. 13 Virginia, and No. 23 Duke.
  • Wake Forest is the defending champions of the ACC. They were the top seed following stroke play last year, and were awarded the championship after the final round of match play was suspended due to darkness.
  • Five different schools have won the ACC Championship. Duke leads the way with 22, followed by Wake Forest (8), North Carolina (2), Virginia (2), and Clemson (1).
  • Last year, Stanford won the final Pac-12 women’s golf championship by eight strokes over USC, setting a Pac-12 championship record in the process by shooting 28-under as a team. It is the fifth-lowest team score through 54 holes in program history.
  • Stanford landed four golfers inside the top-11 at last year’s Pac-12 Championship: Kelly Xu (2nd), Megha Ganne (T4th), Rachel Heck (T7th) and Sadie Englemann (T11th). It is still the best finish of Xu’s career.
  • The 2025 spring portion of the season has been stellar for the Cardinal. Stanford won the San Diego State Classic, Juli Inkster Invitational, and the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate in stroke play while beating San Jose State in match play.
  • In addition to team play, the Cardinal advanced six to the final round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. Freshman Andrea Revuelta finished in a tie for fourth to conclude the tournament as the best Stanford finisher. Megha Ganne (tied for seventh) also finished in the top-10.
  • Postseason awards for the ACC will not be announced following the conference tournament, as was the case in the Pac-12. Those will be announced at a later date prior to the start of NCAA Regionals.
  • Stanford’s lineup for the 2025 ACC Championship is: Meja Örtengren, Paula Martín Sampedro, Megha Ganne, Kelly Xu, and Andrea Revuelta. Nora Sundberg is the team’s alternate.
