The three-game sweep keeps alive a Stanford winning streak that now sits at 11 games. Joie Economides led the way with two of the Card’s four total home runs.

Notre Dame struck first, scoring twice in the first inning to take the Irish’s first lead of the series. The initial advantage didn’t last long, as Joie Economides leveled the scoring with one swing in the top of the second.

The freshman’s first home run of the day scored two and tied the game at two heading into the home half of the second. Notre Dame briefly retook the lead at 3-2, but Stanford again was able to answer.

The Cardinal broke out for five runs in the top of the third, thanks to home runs from Allie Clements and another from Economides.

Alyssa Houston followed the two-homer inning with a shutdown bottom of the fourth, and Stanford kept pouring it on in the fifth. Jade Berry went yard for the fourth home run of the day, plating three and making it a 10-3 Cardinal lead.

Caelan Koch drove in two more on an RBI single in the top of the sixth to make it 12-3 heading into the home half of the sixth.

The Irish rallied in the bottom of the sixth, scoring four to avoid a run rule. Then in the top of the seventh, River Mahler drove in another run to make it a 13-7 final.
