Three days of diving competition came to a close on Wednesday afternoon, as two Stanford divers extended their seasons at the NCAA Diving Zone E competition at the

The Cardinal found success on the boards in Federal Way, Wash., this week, qualifying at least one diver per event for the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships next week.

Heading into the event, Zone E was allocated eight national qualifiers in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives, while the platform dive was given nine automatic bids. Qualifiers in any one event could also earn their spots for any additional event in which they place within the top 12.

Action began on Monday with the 3-meter dive, where Anna Lemkin qualified for her first NCAA meet with an eighth place finish in the event, scoring a 588.00 on the day to give herself an opportunity at a national title next week. Emilie Moore and Lauren Burch finished 9th and 11th in the event, respectively, allowing them the opportunity to qualify the event later in the week.

Lemkin kept her momentum going on the diving tower on Tuesday, as the reigning ACC champion finished third in the platform dive to secure her second event at NCAAs. Lemkin finished third in the final this time around with a 577.30, while Moore (570.25) and Burch (466.15) once again narrowly missed automatic qualification with 10th and 11th place finishes.

On Wednesday, Lauren Burch finally punched her ticket to the NCAA Championships, with a sixth-place effort in the 3-meter dive. With that finish, Burch also earned bids for the 3-meter and platform dives after finishing inside the top-12 in each of the previous two events. Moore was Stanford's only other competitor on the 3-meter board, finishing 10th with a 499.30.

Stanford now shifts its focus to the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships on March 19-22, also taking place in Federal Way, to close out the 2024-25 season.
