STANFORD, Calif. — With the winter quarter underway at Stanford, Bradford M. Freeman Director of Football Troy Taylor officially welcomed six transfers to the program. These six are the most transfers the football program has taken on during the winter quarter, adding to the three freshmen who joined as early enrollees.

Stanford has added three wide receivers and two offensive linemen on the offensive side of the ball, and a linebacker on the defensive side. Four of these six transfers come from “Power 4” conferences, and three came from teams that qualified for a bowl game in 2024.

Information about all six can be found below:

KAI GREER – OL

An ACC transfer, Kai Greer joins Stanford after spending his true freshman season at Georgia Tech, where he did not appear in a game and retains the ability to redshirt. He played his high school football at Marvin Ridge High School in Marvin, North Carolina and earned a host of awards, including All-4A Southern Carolina Conference and HSOT All-State. He was selected to the play in the 2024 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas Game and is also a standout in the classroom, having been named to the school’s honor roll four times.

CADEN HIGH – WR

One of the best wide receivers for the South Carolina State Bulldogs in 2024 was Caden High, who played in all 12 games in 2024 and was the team’s leading receiver. He caught 62 passes for 908 yards with seven touchdowns, leading the team in all categories. He had four 100-yard games during a five-game span in the middle of the season, including an eight-catch, 152-yard game against North Carolina A&T. He played high school football at Grayson High School in Loganville, Ga. And was a four-year letterwinner on both the football and baseball teams.

ZACH JOHNSON – LB

The lone defensive addition, Zach Johnson heads south to the Bay Area after spending his first two collegiate seasons at linebacker for the University of Idaho. He played in 18 games during his first two seasons and finished third on the Vandals with 83 tackles in 2024. He added 6.5 tackles-for-loss, a sack, a forced fumble, and an interception return for a touchdown last year. A three-sport athlete at Lake City High School in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, Johnson was named the Defensive MVP of the All-Inland Empire League in 2022. He also earned All-League honors in basketball and was the district champion in the 200m in 2022.

JORDAN ONOVUGHE – WR

Jordan Onovughe arrives on The Farm after spending the past two seasons as a wide receiver for Colorado, appearing in 12 games during his first two collegiate seasons. He caught his first collegiate pass this past season against Arizona and retains three seasons of eligibility. A native of Pomona, Calif., he prepped at Mater Dei High School and burst onto the scene as a senior with 46 receptions for 517 yards and four touchdowns, earning Second Team All-Trinity League honors.

NIKOLAS PRONGOS – OL

Nikolas Prongos returns to Northern California after spending his first three collegiate seasons at UCLA. The Novato, Calif. native made nine appearances and eight starts on the Bruins offensive line in 2024, starting at both right guard and right tackle. Prongos did not start playing football until his senior year at Marin Catholic High School, where he was also a three-sport athlete, playing basketball and baseball.

He began his collegiate career staying close to home at USC before transferring to Wisconsin, where he appeared in 25 games and made five starts over the last two years.
