STANFORD, Calif. — With three event wins at last weekend’s annual Jessica Beck Invitational, Stanford’s Megumi Field has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation’s (MPSF) Artistic Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Field, who is in her first season on The Farm after spending the summer earning a silver medal with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, helped aid the Cardinal toward repeating as meet champions as the first year earned wins alongside her teammates in the duet, trio and team events.
In the duo, Field and fellow freshman Dalia Ovadia claimed their second event win of the season. In the trio, Field and Ovadia teamed up with fellow Team USA member Audrey Kwon to continue Stanford’s dominant display on the afternoon as the group claimed the top spot with a score of 218.7. Field finished off the afternoon in the team event as Stanford cleared its opponent’s by 20 points to complete the event sweep and repeat as meet champions.
Stanford is slated to begin the championship portion of the 2025 schedule in two weeks when it travels to Norton, Mass. for the fourth installment of the MPSF Championships on Feb. 15-16.
