Torri Huske breaks her own 100 fly record on Day 3 of ACC Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Torri Huske program added her second individual ACC title of the weekend on Thursday evening, highlighting day three of the ACC Swimming & Diving Championships for third-ranked Stanford.

Huske broke her own Stanford record of 48.52 to touch the wall first in the 100 fly final, giving her a third ACC title in as many days after previously earning victories in the 200 Medley Relay and 200 IM. 

Stanford also had two athletes in the 100 fly "B' final, as Lillie Nordmann (51.51) and Gigi Johnson (51.97) took 12th and 13th, respectively, while Annika Parkhe finished 21st overall after a 52.37 in the "C" final.

The night began with the 400 IM, where the Cardinal had three representatives in the "A" final. Caroline Bricker (4:01.40) and Lucy Bell (4:01.70) both earned podium finishes after placing second and third in the event. 

Freshman Emily Thompson posted her highest finish of the ACC Championships with a fifth-place time of 4:06.28, while Sam Tadder finished 13th in the "B" final with a 4:11.24 time. 

Finishing the day with the 200 free, Aurora Roghair finished third in the event finals with a 1:43.48, while Kayla Wilson came in just behind in fourth with a 1:43.71.

Natalie Mannion won the "C" final after touching the wall first at 1:45.34, before Anna Shaw (1:45.93) and Addison Sauickie (1:45.96) came in to finish 21st and 22nd. 

At the diving towers, Anna Lemkin scored 302.40 in the 3-meter prelims, narrowly missing out on the event finals, while Lauren Burch finished 11th with a 301.60. 

After three days of competition, Stanford sits second in the team standings with 684 points. Action resumes tomorrow with the 200 fly, 100 back, 100 breast, and 400 medley relay.
