STANFORD, Calif. – Valerie Glozman and Connie Ma were named ACC Doubles Team of the Week when the conference announced its weekly award winners on Tuesday.
The duo, No. 49 in the latest ITA rankings, picked up a pair of impressive wins at the ITA Indoor Championship over the weekend. They beat Auburn’s No. 12 team of DJ Bennett and Ava Hraster on Friday, 6-2, and knocked off Northwestern’s No. 64 pair of Mika Dagan Fruchtman and Britany Lau on Saturday, 6-4.
Glozman and Ma are 11-3 overall this year, 4-2 in duals, and 3-2 against nationally-ranked opponents. Bennett and Hraster were the highest-ranked pair they have defeated this season.
Stanford is off this week and returns to action next Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 11 a.m. when it plays at Santa Clara.
