Raynaud Earns Third ACC Player of the Week Honor

Raynaud is tied for the most ACC Player of the Week awards this season

STANFORD, Calif. – The elite play continued for Maxime Raynaud during Stanford’s wins over Miami (Jan. 22) and Florida State (Jan. 25), and the Paris native has been named the ACC Player of the Week as a result. The honor is the third of the season for Raynaud, which is tied for the most league-wide this season.

Raynaud, who leads the nation in double-doubles (16) and leads the ACC in scoring (20.5 ppg) and rebounding (11.7 rpg), put together averages of 18.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 50 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.

The 7-footer opened the week with a 28-point, 12-rebound performance against the Hurricanes, including a 4-for-6 mark from beyond the arc, and continued with eight points and 14 rebounds against Florida State. He moved into the top-25 in program history in scoring and the top-eight in rebounding against Miami.

The nation’s leading scorer over 6-8, Raynaud ranks 10th nationally in scoring and third in rebounds. He remains the only player in the country to appear in the top-10 of both lists.

Stanford remains in the top-five of the ACC standings at 6-3 while holding a 14-6 mark overall. The Cardinal continues ACC action on Wednesday, Jan. 29 against Syracuse. The 8 p.m. PT tip will air on ESPNU.
