STANFORD, Calif. - Knowles Family Director of Men's Golf Conrad Ray announced two new signees to the Stanford men's golf program on Thursday afternoon, with Edan Cui and Cooper Stearns set to arrive on The Farm ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Edan Cui • Crystal Springs Uplands School • Atherton, California
Cui is set to arrive on The Farm currently ranked No. 18 in the Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings and the third-highest rated player in the state of California. The Atherton, California native has tallied one win and 10 top-10 finishes on the AJGA circuit, recently winning the Greyson Sigg Junior Championship. Cui has also finished in the top ten at the California state tournament in each of the last three seasons.
"We are thrilled to have Edan join our program," coach Ray said. "Not only is he one of the top-ranked guys in his class that will only make our team stronger, but a local player who I have had to pleasure to watch grow up and develop his game over the years"
Cooper Stearns • Irvine High School • Tustin, California
A multi-sport athlete, Stearns will join the Stanford program as the No. 284-rated player in the Junior Golf Scoreboard rankings. This summer, Stearns won the Los Angeles City Junior Championship, while also registering a third-place finish at the 2024 AJGA Clovis CVB Championship and a 20th-place finish at the 2024. AJGA Mizuno West Coast Classic.
"Cooper is a guy we are fired up to get to the Farm and see what he can do," Ray said "We think he'll flourish here and propel this program to more championships. He's an all-around athlete who knows how to win and has all his best golf ahead of him."
After competing in five events in the fall, Stanford men's golf will return to action on February 6-8 at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate.
