STANFORD, Calif. – Paul A. Violich Director of Softball Jessica Allister and her staff have announced the signing of seven standout players on Wednesday.
Stanford's incoming class of 2029 consists of Anna Brewer (Columbia, Tenn.), Izzy Cacatian (Torrance, Calif.), Adriana Callahan (Franklin, Tenn.), Jordana King (Seattle, Was.), Elena Krause (Pontiac, Ill.), Sophia Jin (Danville, Calif.) and Addy Sheppard (Kingwood, Texas).
Anna Brewer
Anna is a power pitcher that just gets better every time we see her throw. She has a heavy down ball that she throws in the high sixties and the ability to change speeds. Her skill set will be a great compliment to our current pitching staff as we work to diversify our bullpen. We are so excited that Anna chose Stanford!
Izzy Cacatian
Izzy is a pure hitter whose right handed bat will be a valuable addition to our lefty heavy line-up. Izzy is a primary catcher with the ability to shut down the running game, and is versatile enough to also see time at the corners. We are so happy to welcome Izzy to The Farm!
Adriana Callahan
Adriana is a five tool ballplayer that hits for average and power, steals bases and can really go and get it in the grass. Adriana is a true scholar athlete that will thrive in the classroom and on the field at Stanford. We can’t wait to watch Adriana put on the jersey and compete for the Cardinal!
Jordana King
Jordana is an elite student and talented utility player that has continued to improve in all aspects of her game. Jordana is a skilled left handed hitter that can challenge defenses in a variety of ways. We can’t wait to get Jordana to Stanford!
Elena Krause
We have known Elena for a long time, and couldn’t be happier that she chose to join us on the Farm. Elena is a great athlete that will contribute on both sides of the ball. She has swing and miss stuff on the mound and is a triple threat from the left side of the plate. I am thrilled that the Stanford Softball roster will include a Krause for another four years.
Sophia Jin
Sophia is a Bay Area native that we have had the privilege to work with at a number of Stanford camps over the past few years. Sophia is a dynamic athlete whose speed and short game will create havoc on the base paths, and whose power potential continues to climb. We are thrilled that Sophia chose Stanford!
Addy Sheppard
Addy is a shutdown defender that spends most of her time at shortstop, but her glove work, arm strength and range will allow her to play anywhere on the field. Addy has plus power from the right side of the plate that will be a great addition to our lefty heavy line-up. We can’t wait to get Addy on The Farm!
