STANFORD, Calif. - Juliette Dhalluin, a 2023 ACWPC third-team All-American at Arizona State, has transferred to Stanford for the 2025 season, Dunlevie Family Director of Women's Water Polo John Tanner announced Wednesday.
"Juliette will be a wonderful addition to our team and program," Tanner said. "She contributes substantially throughout the pool, and is an excellent shooter, passer and defender. I am excited to welcome her to The Farm and see her develop over the next three seasons, both in and out of the water. She is a passionate student committed to comprehensive growth, and the way in which she meets intellectual and athletic challenges is a perfect fit for this university, our program, and the world-class women on our team."
"I was drawn to Stanford because of its prestigious academics and water polo excellence that will nourish my passion for learning both science and the sport," Dhalluin said of her decision. "Stanford offers me a fabulous environment to grow as a student in the fields of chemistry and biology, and to develop my water polo skills by playing with challenging athletes. I am really excited to start this new journey, to become part of the Stanford family, and have the opportunity to contribute to the team's success."
Dhalluin had a sensational freshman season in 2023, tallying ASU freshmen records with 70 goals, 38 assists, and 48 steals, all numbers that led the MPSF at the conclusion of the conference tournament. She was named to the All-MPSF second team and MPSF All-Newcomer team, as well as the MPSF All-Tournament team after totaling eight goals, nine assists, four steals, and six drawn exclusions over the tournament's three games. She scored in each of the Sun Devils' 24 games that season, including 19 multi-goal efforts. Her 70 goals are seventh in single-season program history, and she's ninth in the ASU record book for single-season assists and sixth in points (108).
Dhalluin has significant international experience, playing in three World Championships by age 19 in addition to a pair of senior-level European Championships, and sat out the 2024 collegiate season to train with the French National Team for the Paris Games. She scored 10 times for France at the European Championship in Eindhoven, Netherlands this past January to lead France to a sixth-place finish, and she added three more scores at the 2024 World Aquatics Championship in Doha, Qatar in February. At the 2023 World Aquatic Championship in Fukuoka, Japan, she had 11 goals and 13 assists.
Prior to beginning her studies in the United States, Dhalluin played in the highest amateur league in France, Pro A. She was awarded the Most Promising Player in France award in 2020 after her team placed third in the Women Elite French National Championship in back to back seasons. She was the youngest player competing at the senior-level European Championship in Budapest, Hungary in January 2020 and scored four times.
