SAN RAMON, Calif. — For the second year in a row, Joshua Karty was named First Team All Pac-12 as announced by the conference on Tuesday. Karty leads the Stanford football program into awards season as one of five to earn recognition by the conference in its final installment of the all-conference team. Also earning honors are wide receiver Elic Ayomanor, safety Alaka'i Gilman, linebacker Tristan Sinclair, and tight end Benjamin Yurosek, who garner honorable mention recognition.
Karty is no stranger to postseason accolades, landing First Team All Pac-12 honors for the second season in a row. A Lou Groza semifinalist in 2023, Karty set the Stanford single-season record for field goals made in a season with 23, the sixth most in FBS. 11 of his 23 makes were from 40+ yards, and he made a 56-yarder in the season finale against Notre Dame, the second-longest field goal made inside Stanford Stadium. Karty also holds the Stanford program record for career field goal percentage at 85.0%.
Ayomanor burst onto the scene in 2023, becoming the leading receiver for the Cardinal. He ended the season with 62 receptions for 1,013 yards and six touchdowns, with his receiving yardage ranking fourth in the Pac-12. Ayomanor became the first Stanford player with over 1,000 receiving yards in a season since J.J. Arcega-Whiteside in 2018. During the season, Ayomanor set the single-game receiving record at Stanford with 294 yards at Colorado, which is also the second most in Pac-12 history.
Gilman was an anchor in the secondary for the Card. He ranked second among defensive backs on Stanford in tackles, pass breakups, and interceptions. His biggest mark on the season came in the comeback win against Colorado, where he intercepted Shedeur Sanders in the second overtime to set up the game-winning field goal.
Sinclair was one of the leaders of Stanford's defense in 2023, and it showed down the stretch. He finished the season with 71 tackles while also recording his first career sack. His best performance of the season came in the 126th Big Game, where he led the team in tackles with 10.
Yurosek was the primary receiving threat for Stanford until an injury in the middle of the year ended his season. He finished with 239 receiving yards in six games, with his 39.8 yards per game ranking second in the Pac-12 among tight ends. Yurosek was the only tight end in the conference to eclipse 100 yards in a game when he did so in the season opener at Hawai'i, compiling 138 yards on nine catches.
