STANFORD, Calif. - Sophomores Saborn Campbell and Braden Montgomery each racked up three hits to help power the No. 6 Stanford Cardinal (42-17) over the No. 25 Texas A&M Aggies 7-1 on Monday in a winner-take-all game from the Stanford Regional.

With the victory, the Cardinal advances to host Texas in a super regional later this week. Official game dates and times will be determined on Tuesday morning.

Trailing 1-0 headed to the bottom of the second, Montgomery got the Cardinal even with a solo home run leading off the inning. The round-tripper was his 17th of the year and highlighted a 3-for-4 night with two runs scored.

Campbell, hitting out of the eighth spot in the order, went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI. The native of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. legged out a one-out triple in the fifth inning and came in to score the go-ahead run and break a 1-1 stalemate on a productive ground ball from Temo Becerra. He would later add an RBI single in the eighth - the first of two Cardinal runs scored in the inning as Stanford stretched its advantage to 7-1.

Freshman Malcolm Moore contributed an exclamation mark for the Cardinal in the sixth inning, turning a 2-1 game into a 4-1 contest with his 14th home run of the season.

Senior Quinn Mathews (9-4) picked up the victory out of the bullpen for Stanford, returning to the mound after starting the regional opener on Friday against San Jose State. The southpaw went four shutout innings while giving up five hits, allowing one walk and striking out five. Junior Ryan Bruno closed out the victory, pitching a scoreless ninth while allowing no hits, with one walk and three strikeouts.

Following the regional, six Cardinal players were named to the All-Stanford Regional Team. Junior Tommy Troy was named the Most Valuable Player, while Mathews, Moore, Montgomery, Eddie Park and Nick Dugan all earned spots on the team.
