Pregame Playlist: Ryan Agarwal

Every athlete has a go-to playlist that they listen to before they take the field, step on the court, or dive into the pool. In Pregame Playlist we bring Stanford student-athletes' playlists to you! Hear from freshman men's basketball sharp-shooter Ryan Agarwal as he breaks down his favorite tracks to listen to before a big game.

GoStanford.com: What're your favorite songs on your playlist these days?
Ryan Agarwal: "My favorite songs are 'Break My Heart' by Rod Wave and 'Not Wrong Now' by NBA YoungBoy. I used to listen to 'Not Wrong Now' all the time in high schoool and it brings back memories of me and my boys jamming out in the car. I've also listened to a ton of Rod Wave over hte past few years. 'Break My Heart' is one of his newer songs, and it's just a BANGER that a few of my teammates and me love."

GS: "Are any of these tracks on your team's genreal playlist? What music do you like compared to your teammates?"
RA: "'I would say the majority of the Lil Baby and Gunna songs I like are what the team likes too. Overall, the whole team has a pretty wide taste in music, but there are a few artists we all like, such as Drake, Lil Baby, Young Thug, and a few others!"

GS: "Are there any unique stories behind what any of these songs mean to you?"
RA: "Not for a specific song, but I've been following Rod Wave for a long time, even when he was performing at his high school. So to see him blow up as I've gotten older is pretty cool.'"

GS: "What kind of music do you like in general?"
RA: "I kind of like all music overall! I know this playlist doesn't have any country music, but being from Texas, I do have a country playlist as well. I also do like a lot of R&B and pop songs, so overall I feel like I have a pretty broad range in terms of my taste in music."
