TEMPE, Ariz. – No. 14 Stanford men's tennis picked up its second road win in Pac-12 play, defeating Arizona State, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon. The Cardinal improves to 13-4 overall with a 3-2 mark in conference contests.
Stanford struck first in doubles, picking up wins on courts two and three. Max Basing and Alexandre Rotsaert rolled to a 6-2 win on court three, while Tomas Kopczynski and Timothy Sah rallied for a 7-5 triumph in the second position.
Sangeet Sridhar and Sah quickly extended the Stanford advantage to 3-0 with straight set wins on courts five and six, for their 10th and ninth wins of the season. After a loss on court one, Axel Geller clinched the match on court two, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0, to earn his 10th win of the year.
Stanford returns home for the next three contests, beginning with Washington on Friday, April 8 at 2 p.m.
