PHOENIX, Ariz. – Senior Aline Krauter finished fourth on Sunday at the Ping/ASU Invitational to lead No. 1 Stanford women's golf to a tie for third place overall. The Cardinal shot an even-par 288 on the day to finish the tournament with a 2-under 862. Arizona State won the tournament on their home course - Papago Golf Course - and No. 2 Oregon finished second.
Krauter fired a 4-under 68 in the third round, matching her career-best (third time) for her first career Top-4 finish in a multi-day event. She was the only Stanford golfer under par on Sunday. For the tournament Krauter finished 6-under, which set a new career-best for round-to-par at a collegiate tournament.
Krauter, Rachel Heck, Caroline Sturdza, Angelina Ye and Rose Zhang will all join incoming signee Megha Ganne in the Augusta National Women's Amateur field next week. The six Cardinal in the prestigious tournament represents the most among any university.
