LOS ANGELES – A pair of wins from Carolina Scutli, Brooke Forde and Regan Smith propelled fourth-ranked Stanford women's swimming and diving to a victory over No. 10 USC, 174-126 on Saturday at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center. The Trojans are the highest-ranked opponent the Cardinal has faced this year.

Sculti – the reigning Pac-12 Women's Diver of the Week – swept the 1-meter (325.18) and the 3-meter (368.48) diving competitions against the Trojans. Stanford (6-0, 5-0 Pac-12) went 1-2-4 and 1-3-4 in both events, respectively, as the divers provided a pivotal 29 points in the team race. Freshman Maria Papworth was second on the 3-meter and third on the 1-meter to continue her impressive spring.

In the penultimate dual of her swimming career, Forde took home event titles in the 500 free and 200 IM to hold off a late charge from the Trojans in the team race during the final five events of the day. Forde's mark of 4:47.86 in the 500 free was enough to keep Caroline Pennington from sweeping both of Saturday's distance events, while she led a 1-2 finish with Torri Huske in the medley.

Huske also finished second in the 100 free and 200 free and swam a leg on Stanford's winning 200 medley relay team for for 14.75 points on the day.

Regan Smith swept the 100 back (51.51) and 100 fly (52.62) and joined Huske, Allie Raab and Emma Wheal on the medley relay team.

Stanford again swept the top three places in the 50 free, and once again it was Anya Goeders touching the wall first to lead the way. Goeders (22.61), Wheal (22.78) and Anna Shaw (22.79) provided 16 points to the Cardinal's team total.

Lillie Nordmann won the 200 fly (1:58.76) and Taylor Ruck led a 1-2-3 finish in the 200 back as Stanford claimed 10 event victories.

The Cardinal returns to action on Feb. 12 in a dual meet at rival California in the final dual meet of the 2021-22 season.
