STANFORD, Calif. - Defending national champion Stanford will face a competitive schedule to start the 2021-22 season, as the Cardinal has announced its upcoming non-conference slate.
Stanford is set to face eight teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season, including a rematch of its Final Four classic with South Carolina, along with Elite Eight participants Texas and Indiana.

TV designations and tip times will also be released at a later date.
"Each year, we set out to design a schedule that will prepare us to compete for championships as the season goes on, and we've done just that. You'd be hard pressed to find a tougher schedule in the nation," said The Setsuko Ishiyama Director of Women's Basketball Tara VanDerveer. "We are excited for the challenge ahead, and can't wait to see fans back in the stands soon!"
Stanford returns all but one player from its national championship squad, while adding the nation's No. 6 recruiting class and an experienced graduate transfer from Northwestern. Led by the winningest coach in women's college basketball history, the Cardinal will enter the season on a 20-game win streak, with 82% of its scoring, 95% of its rebounding and 81% of its assists from last season back on the court.
