STANFORD, Calif. – The Margot and Mitch Milias Director of Women's Golf Anne Walker announced the Cardinal's 2021-22 schedule on Friday afternoon. The schedule begins one month from today at The Molly (Bayonet Golf Club, Monterey, Calif.).
After a trip to Westmoreland Country Club for the Windy City Collegiate Classic, hosted by Northwestern, the Cardinal will host the annual Stanford Intercollegiate presented by Dr. Condoleezza Rice at Stanford Golf Course from Oct. 15-17.
Stanford will then close out the fall at the annual Pac-12 Preview (Nov. 1-3) at Nanea Golf Club. The spring schedule begins on Feb. 14015 at the Lamkin Invitational, set to be played at The Farms Golf Club. The tournament will be hosted by San Diego State, who is now led by former Cardinal associate and assistant coach Lauren Dobashi.
Two weeks later Stanford heads to Del Paso Country Club and the Gunrock Invitational (Feb. 28-March 1) before playing at the Juli Inkster Invitational (March 7-8) at Meadow Club Golf Club. The Cardinal will close out the regular season with the Ping/ASU Invitational (March 25-27) at Papago Golf Club and the Silverado Showdown (April 4-6) at Silverado Golf Club.
The postseason will begin with the Pac-12 Championships at Eugene Country Club (April 15-17). NCAA Regionals will take place May 9-11 before the NCAA Championships at Grayhawk (May 20-25).
Walker and the Cardinal enter the 2021-22 season as the No. 1-ranked team according to Golf Channel. Incoming freshman Rose Zhang is currently ranked No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, followed by world No. 2, sophomore Rachel Heck. Rising junior Angelina Ye is ranked as the No. 9 player in the country by Golf Channel and senior Aline Krauter is listed at No. 27.
