Schedule Unveiled

STANFORD, Calif. – The Knowles Family Director of Men's Golf Conrad Ray unveiled Stanford's 2021-22 men's golf schedule on Thursday. The slate begins with The Fighting Illini Invitational on the weekend of Sept. 17-19 and will conclude in late May (May 27-June 1) with the NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale.

"We are looking forward to playing on some of the best courses in the country against the nation's best teams this season," Ray said. "Testing our team in every facet of the game is what we are trying to achieve in choosing the tournaments we have been fortunate to have been invited to. We can't wait to get out there and compete knowing the regular season is great preparation for a deep championship run in the spring."

The annual Goodwin will be hosted at Stanford Golf Course March 24-26. This year's edition will be a chance for friends and family of Coach Wally Goodwin to gather at the tournament named in his honor. Goodwin passed away in mid-July.

Following The Fighting Illini Invitational (Olympia Fields), the Cardinal will play at the Colonial Collegiate Invitational at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas (October 4-5), The Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate at the Lakeside Course (Oct. 22-24) and round out the fall portion of the schedule with the St. Mary's Invitational at Poppy Hills (Nov. 8-10).

Stanford begins play in the spring at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate at Hapuna Golf Course (Feb. 3-5) while rounding out play in February with The Prestige at PGA West (Feb. 21-23) and The Cabo Collegiate at Cabo Del Sol (Feb. 28-March 2). After The Goodwin, the Cardinal will round out the regular season at The Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo (April 11-13).

The postseason will begin with the Pac-12 Championships at Aldarra Country Club (April 22-24). NCAA Regionals will take place May 13-15 before the NCAA Championships at Grayhawk (May 27-June 1).

Ray and the Cardinal return an exciting roster, which includes sixth-year Henry Shimp and fifth-year Nate Menon, seniors Freddie Lee, Ethan Ng and Daulet Tuleubayev, junior Barclay Brown, sophomores Jake Beber-Frankel, Michael Thorbjornsen and Karl Vilips, and freshman Alex Yang.
