SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Two days after qualifying for the 2021 U.S. Women's Open by earning medalist honors at the Marin Country Club qualifier, freshman Rachel Heck fired a 5-under 67 to earn medalist honors at The Olympic Club Collegiate Invitational on Wednesday. With less than a month until The Olympic Club hosts the U.S. Women's Open, Stanford was joined by Cal, San Francisco and UC Davis for a collegiate preview day. The course featured the same hole locations as Saturday's round of the 2012 U.S. Women's Open which was hosted by The Olympic Club.

As a team, Stanford fired a 1-over 285, 27 strokes better than second-place Cal.

The Cardinal used Wednesday's event as a final tune up for the postseason, which begins with the NCAA Regionals on Monday at Stanford Golf Course. Stanford is the No. 5 seed and will look to earn a spot at the NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Country Club later in May with a top-six finish at the Regional.
