Changing The Game

Stanford installed TrackMan's Range Solution technology at Siebel Varsity Golf Training Complex, becoming the first collegiate golf programs to utilize the system. Cardinal coaches Conrad Ray and Anne Walker believe the new technology, which provides immediate, precise data, will greatly improve the way their student-athletes train and prepare.

"Stanford Golf is excited to be the first and only collegiate program to install the TrackMan Range system," The Knowles Family Director of Men's Golf Conrad Ray said. "Having direct, precise data on every shot that our student-athletes hit will be super valuable for both "in the moment" training as well as historically as we analyze patterns and volume. One of the simple but essential skills to play the very best golf possible is to know exactly how far your ball flies with each club, and in changing environmental conditions. This technology allows us to do that on every shot. The opportunities are endless in terms of overall performance training and we are all super thankful to our benefactors for making a system like this possible."

"TrackMan Range optimizes the way our players utilize their range sessions and valuable practice time," Margot and Mitch Milias Director of Women's Golf Anne Walker added. "Not only is the data collection invaluable but also, the competitive games and upcoming virtual golf feature allow us to practice like we play more effectively. We are grateful to have this type of support at Stanford. Providing our athletes with game-changing technology and world-class facilities right here on campus is one of the things that makes Stanford special."
