Heading to Thousand Oaks

  • Stanford enters the spring season as the No. 12 team in the country, and the third-highest ranked team in the Pac-12.
  • The Cardinal returns three All-Pac-12 honorees from 2019 in Axel Geller (first team), Alexandre Rotsaert (second team) and William Genesen (honorable mention). Geller was also an ITA All-America honoree.
  • The team is off to a 1-0 start after a victory over UC Davis, 4-0, including singles wins from Rotsaert, Sangeet Sridhar and Neel Rajesh.
  • The Sherwood Cup is an individual tournament with 32 singles players and 16 doubles pairs. The Cardinal will square off against opponents from USC, UCLA and Texas A&M.
  • Geller topped Rotsaert in an all-Cardinal championship of last year's Sherwood Cup.
  • Paul Goldstein, the Taube Family Director of Men's Tennis, stands just six victories away from becoming the third head coach in program history to reach 100 career wins.
