STANFORD, Calif. – Freshman Jade Chrobok is a native of Toronto, Canada and competes in all-around. She has traveled around the world for competitions and won a team gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia. Chrobok's hobbies include photography and cooking, and she is considering a major in human biology or psychology.

My first name is Hannah, but people have called me by my middle name (Jade) my entire life.
Who inspires you and why?
My parents. They have taught me so much throughout my life and have been so supportive. I hope I can have the same effect on my own kids one day.
Favorite Netflix (Hulu, HBOnow, etc.) show or movie?
The Office or Grey's Anatomy.
If you could sit next to a celebrity on a long flight, who would it be and why?
Ellen DeGeneres. She's hilarious and we would be laughing the whole flight.
Which Stanford student-athlete would you want to change places with for a day and why?
I would want to trade places with someone on the swim team, because I would love to master other strokes besides the doggy paddle.
Go-to order at a café or coffee house?
Mocha iced coffee or anything with chocolate in it.
What is your best childhood memory?
Catching frogs and swimming at friends' and family cottages.
What is the most interesting thing in your purse or wallet?
Canadian money. It's plastic and never tears!
