SALT LAKE CITY - No. 3 Stanford blanked No. 46 Utah 7-0 on Friday afternoon to kick off its road swing.
Winners of 12 in a row, the Cardinal (17-1, 8-0 Pac-12) maintained its status as the Pac-12's leader with one weekend remaining in the regular season.
Three-time defending Pac-12 champion Stanford has now won 35 straight regular-season conference matches dating back to March 5, 2016, when it lost 4-3 at Arizona State.
With only four available players, Utah (12-9, 2-6 Pac-12) was forced forfeit one doubles match and two singles contests.
Leading 3-0, Stanford clinched the match when Emily Arbuthnott was first off the court in singles after defeating Emily Dush 6-2, 6-2.
The Cardinal continues its road trip on Sunday, visiting Colorado at 9 a.m. PT.
