AUSTIN – Abrahm DeVine's stellar record at the NCAA Championships continued Thursday with a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley at the Lee and Joe Jamail Aquatics Center.
DeVine touched the wall with a time of 1:40.77, an improvement from the preliminary session in which he qualified fifth with 1:41.44. DeVine will finish his Cardinal career with four All-America honors in the event, finishing 11th in 2016 and 2017 and fourth in 2018.

Stanford also earned All-America status in the 200-yard freestyle relay with the team of Cole Cogswell, Brad Zdroik, Mason Gonzalez and Patrick Conaton (1:17.96) placing 15th after DeVine, Zdroik, Cogswell and Conaton (1:17.88) finished 16th in the preliminary round to earn a place in the B-final.
After Day 2, Stanford sits in 19th place with 22 points. The NCAA Championships continue Friday at 8 a.m. PT with preliminary swims and at 4 p.m. with the evening finals session. Friday's events include the 400-yard individual medley, the 100-yard butterfly, the 200-yard freestyle, the 100-yard breaststroke, the 100-yard backstroke, the 200-yard medley relay and the 3-meter springboard. Cardinal Notes
- Alex Liang (1:44.35) and Brennan Pastorek (1:45.68) finished 34th and 46th, respectively, in 200 IM prelims.
- James Murphy (4:15.28) and Johannoes Calloni (4:15.58) narrowly missed All-America status in the 500-yard freestyle, placing 20th and 21st, respectively. True Sweetser (4:17.12) placed 31st and Matthew Hirschberger (4:18.60) was 36th.
- Conor Casey (297.70) finished 21st in the 1-meter springboard with Noah Vigran (276.65) in 29th.
- Stanford's team of Conaton, Matt Anderson, Zdroik and DeVine (3:06.63) finished 19th in the 400-yard medley relay prelim.
