AUSTIN – Stanford's men's swimming and diving team began the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday with an All-America finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay.
Stanford's quartet of Abrahm DeVine, James Murphy, Mason Gonzalez and Alex Liang put up 6:16.88 in the only event of the evening, good for 15th place and an All-America honorable mention.

The NCAA Championships continue Thursday morning at 8 a.m. PT with the first of three morning preliminary sessions. Thursday's events include the 200-yard freestyle relay, the 500-yard freestyle, the 200-yard individual medley, the 50-yard freestyle, the 1-meter springboard and the 400-yard medley relay.
