Three Matches, Four Days

STANFORD, Calif. - After taking the court just once over the last 10 days, No. 7 Stanford prepares for a three-match, four-day stretch beginning Wednesday against UC Davis.

Dropping three spots in the national poll despite the layoff, the Cardinal (11-1, 3-0 Pac-12) closes out nonconference action against the Aggies (3-9, 2-3 Big West), representing the third attempt to play this season. Originally scheduled for Feb. 2 but postponed due to inclement weather, the match was once again affected by rain on Monday afternoon. Wednesday's match begins at 1 p.m. and will be played at Taube South, with, you guessed it, weather permitting.

A pair of top-15 opponents await later in the week, as Stanford travels south to square off against No. 11 UCLA (10-3, 3-0 Pac-12) and No. 16 USC (12-2, 3-0 Pac-12). The Cardinal has won three of its four meetings against nationally-ranked teams this season, having already defeated No. 6 Texas, No. 7 Vanderbilt and No. 18 LSU. With No. 15 California (9-3, 3-0 Pac-12) also making the trip to SoCal this weekend, there is an opportunity for one of those four unbeatens to take command of the Pac-12 race.

Friday's match against UCLA will be televised live on Pac-12 Networks, representing the Cardinal's only appearance on the network during the regular season.

Winners of six in a row overall, Stanford has also won 30 straight regular-season conference matches dating back to March 5, 2016.

For the eighth consecutive week, Stanford leads the nation with eight players ranked in singles. No. 17 Emily Arbuthnott (23-4, 10-1 duals) and No. 57 Janice Shin (20-3, 10-1 duals) have both reached the 20-win mark while No. 58 Caroline Lampl (19-6, 10-0 duals) has won 12 in a row, matching the best streak of her career.

In doubles, the Cardinal is also well represented with four ranked doubles teams. Lampl and Kimberly Yee (13-5, 7-1 duals) check in at No. 12 while Arbuthnott and Michaela Gordon (10-4, 5-1 duals) round out the top-20 at No. 18.
