LOS ANGELES, Calif. – No. 24 Stanford posted its second-highest point total of the season Sunday, but second-ranked UCLA did even better. The home-standing Bruins, backed by a record crowd of 12,905 in Pauley Pavilion, responded with their best showing of year.
UCLA won every event and tallied a 198.325-196.275 victory.
"We don't have any superstars," said Cardinal head coach Tabitha Yim. "It's 100 percent team effort. Everyone has to step up and fulfill their roles. I think it was a strong performance and everyone did a good job of staying in our bubble."

Cardinal scores 49.300 and just misses season-high.#GoStanford
Several Cardinal starters were limited in practice due to illness, including sophomore standout Kyla Bryant, who worked out once. But she performed gamely, tying for fourth on the balance beam with career-high 9.900, tied for sixth on vault (9.825), tied for seventh on bars (9.875), and captured her seventh all-around title of the season (39.300).
"It was great that she was able to step up and help the team in all four events," Yim said.
Sophomore Rachael Flam led Stanford in floor exercise with a career-best 9.900. But to illustrate UCLA's depth, she tied for sixth as all six Bruins scored 9.900 or higher.
Junior Aleeza Yu earned a career-high 9.875 on bars, while freshman Wesley Stephenson matched her career-best on beam by scoring 9.875.

Yim also praised the showing of sophomore Taylor Lawson.
"We are getting a lot more consistent," said Yim. "We need to improve our landings and have small margin of error, but we're getting there."
Next up for Stanford is the Pac-12 Championships, March 23 in West Valley City, Utah.
