STANFORD, Calif. - Two-time defending national champion Stanford women's swimming and diving will begin the 2018-19 campaign at home on Tuesday against Pac-12 foe Utah, and will visit Washington State on Friday. Both meets are set to begin at 2 p.m. Admission is free to all Stanford home meets.

Championship RingsOnly one team each year gets this moment. Last week, the Cardinal received its NCAA national championship rings, designed by the outgoing seniors. Several of the seniors were able to make it back to campus for the ring ceremony.

Avery AdditionAvery Aquatic Center received a large-sized upgrade during the offseason. The new scoreboard will serve all of Stanford's aquatic sports including the men's and women's swimming and diving programs, both water polo teams and synchronized swimming.

MatchupsUtah also served as Stanford's season opener last year. The Cardinal began its championship season with a 143-95 victory over the Utes in Salt Lake City (full recap). The last time Utah made a trip to The Farm was on Oct. 16, 2015 -- a 177-112 win for the Cardinal (full recap).
Stanford's last matchup with the Cougars came on Oct. 20, 2016 -- it was the home opener that season and the first home meet for Katie Ledecky and the freshmen class (now juniors). The Cardinal won, 149-99 (full recap). Stanford last made the trip to Pullman on Sept. 25, 2015, which was a 142-119 win and included victories from Ella Eastin and Leah Stevens in their first collegiate meet (full recap).
StreaksStanford has won 23 straight dual meets. The Cardinal's last defeat in a dual was to No. 3 Cal on Feb. 14, 2015—which also marks a string of 21 straight Pac-12 dual meet victories since that loss. The Cardinal has also won 16 straight dual meets at home dating back to Oct. 30, 2014 against Texas (156-144).
Last Time OutThe last time the Cardinal was in the pool was a victory leap into the diving well at Ohio State's McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. Stanford celebrated its second straight NCAA team title. The Cardinal had 16 different All-Americans combine for 56 All-America honors, five American records, eight individual national championships and five relay titles.
