STANFORD, Calif. – Senior wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside earned Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honors on Tuesday, as announced by the conference office.
Arcega-Whiteside's 226 receiving yards in Friday's 31-10 season-opening win over San Diego State were the third-most in a game in school history, and the most since Troy Walters set the school record with 278 in 1999.
The international relations major hauled in six catches, three of which went for scores, and averaged 37.7 yards/catch. His three touchdown receptions went for 19, 38 and a career-long 80 yards.

Arcega-Whiteside is the first Stanford receiver to earn this honor since Mark Bradford on Oct. 6, 2007. Bradford was recognized after he caught the game-winning touchdown with 48 seconds left to defeat No. 2 USC, 24-23, in what was considered "The Greatest Upset in College Football History".
Arcega-Whiteside is also the first Pac-12 receiver to take home Offensive Player of the Week accolades since Washington's John Ross III on Nov. 7, 2016.
Stanford is back in action on Saturday against USC at Stanford Stadium. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. PT, and the game will be televised nationally on FOX.
