STANFORD, Calif. – Kris Bubic, Nico Hoerner and Jack Little were each named first-team All-West Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association, as announced Wednesday.
The trio helped the Cardinal (46-12) achieve its second highest winning percentage (.793) in program history and capture its first Pac-12 Conference Championship since 2004. Stanford's 46 wins tie for 10th-most in program history, while its 12 losses tie for the fewest in program history (min. 50 games).
Bubic, a left-handed pitcher from San Jose, California, was named All-Pac-12 and an NCBWA third-team All-American after posting an 8-1 record and 2.62 earned-run average in 86.0 innings. He led the team with 101 strikeouts, holding opposing hitters to a .199 average. Bubic was picked 40th overall in the Competitive Balance Round-A by the Kansas City Royals in the recent Major League Baseball Draft.
