STANFORD, Calif. - Back-to-back national champion Stanford women's swimming and diving also led the nation with 16 scholar All-Americans in 2018, as announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.
Stanford's Megan Byrnes, Kassidy Cook, Katie Drabot, Ella Eastin, Lindsey Engel, Brooke Forde, Ally Howe, Janet Hu, Katie Ledecky, Simone Manuel, Lauren Pitzer, Leah Stevens, Allie Szekely, Erin Voss, Kim Williams and Grace Zhao each earned academic All-America honors. Ohio State finished with the second-most academic honorees with 13.
In a record-setting NCAA meet in March, the Cardinal became just the third school to sweep all five relays at the NCAA meet, and tied an all-time record with 13 event titles overall, last set 25 years ago by Stanford. The Cardinal had 16 different All-Americans combine for 56 All-America honors and five American records. A full recap is here.
Stanford became the first school to reach 10 NCAA swimming and diving titles and claimed back-to-back championships for the first time since 1992-96.
