SEATTLE, Wash. – The No. 22 Stanford women's gymnastics team received event titles from senior Elizabeth Price and freshmen Kyla Bryant and Rachael Flam, but they weren't enough to upset No. 10 Washington on Saturday night in a 196.475-195.450 defeat at Hec Edmundson Pavilion.
Price won her fifth all-around crown of the season with a score of 39.425, and shared top honors with Bryant on the uneven bars with 9.900. Bryant also tied for first on floor exercise (9.875) and finished third in all-around (39.225).
Flam scored a career-best 9.925 to capture vault.
Sophomore Kaylee Cole had a strong meet. She led off on vault, floor and beam and posted 9.800s in all three events. Her vault tally was a season-high.
The Cardinal fell behind early, but rallied in the middle rotations, matching its top figure of the year on vault (49.225), as all five competitors scored 9.775 or higher. Stanford also recorded 49.125 on floor.
Next Friday, Stanford will compete in the Elevate the Stage Meet at the James Brown Arena in Augusta, Georgia against Nebraska, Illinois and Georgia. Competition begins at 4:45 p.m. PT and live scoring can be found at GoStanford.com.
