STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford was one of 95 Division I programs to receive Academic All-America status from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, as announced this week.
The award recognizes teams that achieved a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2017 fall semester, with 688 total collegiate swimming and diving teams making the list. The Cardinal, which sits at No. 4 in the latest CSCAA top-25 poll, owned a 3.31 GPA in the fall.
Last season, a league-high 18 swimmers and divers earned All-Academic recognition from the Pac-12, including returners Tarek Abdelghany and Ted Miclau, who were each named to the first team.
