BERKELEY, Calif. – The No. 12 Stanford men's tennis team punched its ticket to the ITA National Indoor Championships with a 4-1 victory over No. 22 Tulane Monday afternoon at the Hellman Tennis Complex on the campus of the University of California.
After downing Oregon (4-0) on Sunday, the Cardinal (3-0) continued its strong start with Monday's win over the Green Wave in the ITA Kickoff Weekend regional final match. With the victory, Stanford earned a berth in the ITA National Indoor Championships for the first time since 2012. The national event will be held Feb. 16-19 on the campus of the University of Washington in Seattle.

"I am so happy for these guys," Stanford's Taube Family Director of Men's Tennis Paul Goldstein said. "The guys have worked their tails off to earn this. We have had this weekend circled on our calendars for several months. The way they came out and executed at the level they executed at today and throughout the weekend to get to the National Team Indoor Championships makes me very grateful for their efforts."
