ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Competing with just the B squad in the team routine, the Stanford synchronized swimming team finished second on Saturday at the Lindenwood Invitational.
Elle Billman, Gillian Brassil, Dylan Harding Karen Li, Lily Randhawa, Sophia Susac and Amanda Urke scored 72.5917, while host Lindenwood captured first and third with totals of 77.2833 and 72.4333, respectively.
"Lindenwood is always a strong opponent with intricate and exciting routines," said head coach Sara Lowe. "Seeing their routines early in the season gives our dragon-themed team a clear picture as to how hard they will need to work in the upcoming months to accomplish their goal."
As always, the ultimate goal is to win the Collegiate National Championships, March 28-31 in Oro Valley, Arizona.
Stanford resumes competition on February 16-17 when it hosts the University of Incarnate Word at the Avery Aquatic Center. The technical program starts on the 16th at 4:30 p.m., with routines to follow on the 17th at noon.
