STANFORD, Calif. – Nine members of the Stanford fencing team will compete Thursday through Sunday in the NCAA Championships at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis.
Coming off a victory at the NCAA Western Regionals, the Cardinal contingent includes six men and three women.
Heading the men's squad is fifth-year senior Alexander Massialas of San Francisco. A three-time first team All-American, he will be seeking his third NCAA foil title, and will be joined in the weapon by junior Darren Mei.
Freshman Samuel Kwong and sophomore Jeffrey Dalli will participate in men's sabre, while sophomores Sean Strong and Tristan Krueger will battle in men's epee.
For the women, sophomore Carly Weber-Levine will compete in sabre; freshman Amanda Han in epee; and senior Eliza Klyce in foil.
Combined results from the men's and women's divisions will be used to determine the national champion.
