STANFORD, Calif. – Elizabeth Price was named the Pac-12 Specialist of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the conference.
Price claimed individual victories with a pair of scores of 9.950 on vault and bars at the season-opening NorCal Classic at California on Monday night.
Price is tied for the top ranking in the country on vault and is tied for second on bars.
It is the third consecutive season Price has won a weekly award after her first meet of the year. She was named Gymnast of the Week in 2015 and Freshman/Newcomer of the Week in 2014.
Price has scored 9.900 or higher in 45-of-71 (63 percent) performances during her collegiate career. She won 30 of 58 events she competed in during 2016.
Price and Stanford will look to build on a strong finish at the NorCal Classic when it travels to UC Davis on Friday at 7 p.m. (PT).
