STANFORD, Calif. – Three members of the Stanford women’s rowing program earned All-Pac-12 honors, the conference announced on Monday.
Senior Simone Jacobs, junior Ruth Narode, and sophomore Leigh Warner were each named to the league’s 13-member all-star squad.
All three members of the Cardinal are first-time honorees by the Pac-12. Jacobs and Warner were named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) All-Region and All-America selections as well.
Jacobs (science, technology and society), Narode (human biology) and Warner (undeclared) were also recognized by the Pac-12 on the conference’s all-academic squad.
All three were members of the Cardinal’s varsity eight that placed third at the NCAA Championships at Lake Natoma, and defeated eventual NCAA Champion California in the Big Row at Redwood Shores. The varsity eight guided the Cardinal to a fourth-place finish as a team at the NCAA Championships. Jacobs served as the stroke of the varsity eight, while Narode rowed in the three seat and Warner was the coxswain.
