STANFORD, Calif. - Third-ranked Stanford women's swimming and diving hosts its first meet of 2016 on Friday as the Pac-12 Network will broadcast the matchup with Arizona State at 1 p.m. The Cardinal will then welcome No. 7 Arizona to the Avery Aquatic Center on Saturday at noon.
The Cardinal (2-0, 2-0 Pac-12) registered victories over Utah (177-112) and Washington State (142-119) in its only duals of the fall, and most recently finished second at the Art Adamson Invitational in College Station, Texas.
The Sun Devils finished 2-3 in the fall, including 1-3 in Pac-12 duals, and last competed on Nov. 7. Arizona (6-1, 3-1 Pac-12) recently hosted Northern Arizona, Oregon State and New Mexico State on Jan. 8.
Last season against these two schools, the Cardinal pulled off the sweep in the desert with a 145-111 victory over the Wildcats -- highlighted by three victories from Simone Manuel -- and a 131-100 win in Tempe -- where six different swimmers combined to win seven individual events.
