COLLEGE STATION, Texas – No. 10 Stanford leads a seven-team field at the Art Adamson Invitational hosted by Texas A&M after the first day of battle.
The Cardinal finished with 512 points while competing in six events Thursday.
Kristian Ipsen won the 1-meter diving event with 413.55 points.
Danny Thomson (4:20.31) and Drew Cosgarea (4:24.35) produced NCAA B-cuts while going 1-2 in the 500-yard freestyle.
Stanford took the top six five spots with as many NCAA B-cuts in the 200-yard freestyle, receiving the efforts from David Nolan (1:43.24), Max Williamson (1:45.69), Tom Kremer (1:45.70), Gray Umbach (1:46.12) and Curtis Ogren (1:46.77).
Nolan, Sam Perry, Connor Black and Thomas Stephens went 1:18.78 to capture the 200-yard freestyle relay.
Black went on to win the 50-yard freestyle in 19.89, and Perry touched third with a 20.07.
