OXFORD, Ohio – The Stanford synchronized swimming continued its strong showing at the 2014 U.S. Collegiate Nationals, Friday, at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center on the campus of Miami (OH) University in Oxford, Ohio.
Stanford saw three swimmers place in the top-15 of the A Figures, which were won by Ohio State’s Emma Baranski (82.526). Freshman Isabella Park was seventh with a 78.625, while rookie Marisa Tashima took ninth with a 78.093. Junior Megan Hansley turned in a 76.541, good for 13th.
In the team prelim, Stanford was second behind Lindenwood by just 1.000 with a score of 87.300. Swimming for the Cardinal was Hansley, Park, Tashima, senior Leigh Haldeman, sophomore Carolyn Morrice, sophomore Mina Shah and sophomore Evelyna Wang.
Ohio State took third in the prelim with an 87.050, while the University of Incarnate Word was fourth with an 83.750. Lindenwood’s B team rounded out the top-5 with an 83.600.
The 2014 U.S. Collegiate Nationals will wrap-up Saturday, March 22 with the finals in the solo, duet, trio and team.
