COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Kristian Ipsen won his third straight 3-meter title Thursday during the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships at Air Force’s Cadet Natatorium.
Ipsen led through the prelims with a 419.75 and added a 436.85 in the finals for an 856.60.
Ipsen’s total gave him a comfortable cushion over the second-place finisher, who happened to be teammate Bradley Christensen. Christensen rolled to a 773.00 at his NCAA Zone debut.
Ipsen and Christensen earned an automatic bid into the NCAA Championships.
Connor Kuremsky, whose 707.35 was good for seventh. Noah Garcia finished outside the money with 696.80 points for 10th.
The meet resumes Friday with the 1-meter competition.
