FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Stanford wrapped up the diving portion of the Pac-12 Conference Championships at the King County Aquatic Center Saturday as Kristian Ipsen and Noah Garcia finished in the top eight of the platform event.

“We had a fair meet, and will need to dive more error-free at the NCAA Zone Championships,” head diving coach Rick Schavone said. “We had too many missed dives and still have some work to do.”

The Cardinal divers will next travel to Colorado, Colo., for the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships. The three-day event begins March 13.

Arizona State’s Luke Clohessy (455.20) won the event in front of Arizona’s Rafael Quintero (424.95) and Ipsen (421.60).

Garcia, who was first through the prelims with a 366.50, finished seventh in the finals with 321.55 points. It was his fourth top-10 finish in as many seasons off the platform.

With the diving competition wrapped up, the swimming events of the Pac-12 Championships begin March 5 and span through March 8. Stanford will be seeking its 32nd conference title in the last 33 seasons.
